Senior Modeler (SDS/2) with 5-8 years experienced.

Job Responsibilities

1. Modeling of steel structures with connections independently based on the available General Arrangement drawings to develop shop drawings for use by the Fabricator to manufacture the individual pieces of structural steel.

2. Detailing knowledge of steel structures including connections in SDS/2 software.

3. Participate in coordination meetings.

4. Should be able to interpret and incorporate Approval Comments, Contract Changes and other revisions into the scope of the project.

5. Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.

6. Experience and practical knowledge of steel detailing as per standard.

7. Knowledge in Main Steel & Misc structures like Ladder, Handrails, stairs and platforms.

8. Preparing 3D models for various commercial & industrial buildings.

9. Strong in 2D and 3D visualization capabilities. Other Expectations 1. Should be willing to work in any shifts. 2. Good communication & coordination skills. 3. Ability to work well in a team and perform under tight deadlines.

Structural Steel Detailing Trainee

Create drawings: Produce detailed shop and erection drawings for steel structures.

Ensure accuracy: Check drawings against engineering and architectural plans to meet industry codes and standards.

Collaborate: Work with engineers and architects to resolve design discrepancies.

Learn software: Become proficient in steel detailing software like SDS/2, or AutoCAD.

Adhere to standards: Learn and apply codes such as AISC standard

Qualifications and skills

Education: Diploma or degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering is often required.

Technical knowledge: Basic understanding of engineering graphics, strength of materials, and CAD software is beneficial.

Software familiarity: Experience with SDS/2, or AutoCAD is a plus.

Soft skills: Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and a willingness to learn are essential.
